Nokia has now stepped in Android market and has been launching first Nokia Android phone series. This time, Nokia came up with Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL Android phones at the Mobile World Congress event in Barceloana. These three handsets are the first Nokia devices to run on Android. Nokia revealed the Nokia X on stage, with CEO Stephen Elop saying that: “The Nokia X is built on Android open source software. We have differentiated and added our own experience.”

Design:

This Nokia Android phone series feature a design similar to Nokia Lumia phone. The weight of the phones is about 129 grams while Nokia XL is 190 grams.

Display:

Nokia X , Nokia X+ and Nokia XL feature 4-inch display screen plus 840 x 480 IPS LCD touch and pixel density of 233ppi. While Nokia XL feature 5-inch display.

The hardware features of Nokia Android phone series include Nokia X, 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225 chip-set, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage which can further be expandable through microSD slot. However Nokia X+ and Nokia XL phone features an additional 768 of RAM than Nokia X. Also Nokia X+ and Nokia XL will have additional 4GB microSD card.

Nokia X and X+ phones feature 3-megapixel fixed focus camera. The camera results of both handsets is good and the pictures captured via these cameras will be of fine quality. While Nokia XL features 5 megapixels camera with autofocus and flash.

The handsets pack 1500mAh battery. The battery life is amazing too. You can enjoy 10.5 hours of 3G talk time and have a

The Nokia Android Phone Series will feature an amazing Nokia Glance Screen. If you swipe the screen to the right, then the phone will view the installed apps while swiping to the left takes you to the fast lane. Moreover, you can also easily reorganize the tiles just like in Windows 8. Tiles can be re-sized too as they are re-sizable. Play Store:

The Nokia Android Phone Series however do not have Google Play services installed. Hence the phones are deprived of the Play Store features. But no need to get disappointed. Stephen Elop highlighted and described that users can take advantage of the Nokia store for Android apps and the popular Yandex Store as well. The phones will be featuring a suite of Microsoft and HERE apps.

Price And Availability:

Nokia Android Phone Series will be available at very low costs. The phones are expected to available in over 60 markets running on 160 different operators. Nokia X will cost just 89 euros, while the Nokia X+ will cost about 99 euros only While the Nokia XL will retail at €109.  The phones will be available in bold colors with iconic designs.
